SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

This year’s school-supply drive is different because area elementaries will start the term with on-line learning. “Different” doesn’t mean unnecessary, though. Low- income students will still need supplies at home.

As part of West Seattle’s Pencil Me in for Kids campaign, we ask for cash donations only. Volunteers will use your donation to buy a short list of supplies at sale prices, then reserve the rest to see what other needs emerge as the school year unfolds.

A donation of $15 is enough to equip one young student with a pencil box full of scissors, colored pencils, glue sticks, and markers for assignments (such as the ones at right) that require cutting, coloring, and gluing at home. Make your check payable to Fauntleroy Church (for “school supplies”) and mail it to the church so that it’s received by August 24. Thank you! HOMELESSNESS TASK FORCE
