Chancel Choir and D.A.M. Ukulele Band

The Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The Chancel Choir sings a choral anthem during worship most Sundays, gathering an hour before worship at 9 a.m. on Sundays for a short rehearsal. All are welcome to sing in the choir! We meet on Thursdays from September to June.

The Chancel Choir is a non-audition choir. Many of our singers are music readers, but it is possible to learn your parts by listening to others around you. We vary our repertoire from traditional to contemporary pop music. To express your interest and learn of upcoming opportunities, please contact Music Director Bronwyn Edwards by email at sirensongbron@gmail.com or call the church office at 206-932-5600.

The D.A.M. Ukulele Band meets each Thursday at 6:15 p.m. for an hour of joyful music-making before the choir rehearsal. Named after Duey Auringer, a long-time member of Fauntleroy Church who began learning to play his ukulele shortly before joining the Heavenly Ukulele Band, the band’s full title is “The Duey Auringer Memorial Ukulele Band.” We currently have about 15 active members. We play from our own songbook of favorite ukulele songs suggested by our members. Beginners are welcome.

Please contact Music Director Bronwyn Edwards if you’d like to be on the email list for either the Chancel Choir or the D.A.M. Ukulele Band.
