Tiny home communities like C2C make a difference. To learn more about the value of these communities, see the article from Barb Oliver, of Sound Foundation. (See link below.) She details the importance of COMMUNITY for bringing people out of homelessness. Through your generosity and involvement, Fauntleroy Church is becoming a vital partner with the community at C2C.
Fauntleroy UCC recently provided Camp Second Chance with 30 towels, 5 fitted twin sheets, 16 pillow cases, 2 pillows, women's sweaters and men's shirts, socks, soap, crafts, and fruit and granola snacks. The folks at C2C are so appreciative.
Residents continue to need twin fitted sheets, blankets, bath towels, pillows, pillowcases, and games, puzzles, and craft items. They also need fluids: water (in individual bottles), Gatorade and other power drinks. Also, men's shoes (sizes 8-14, wide), and shirts and sweaters (men's and women's, M-XL). See the full list on the link below, and on the bin in the narthex. There will also be a bin in the lobby weekdays 9:30 am - 3:00 pm through August 27.
The people in this community (50+ persons) are on a journey toward independence and self-reliance. We can make a difference in their lives through our donations and involvement.
THANK YOU
