JOIN US FOR OUR VIRTUAL WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY, MAY 30, AT 10:00 AM. As some of you know, May 31 of this year not only marks Memorial Day, it also marks the hundredth year anniversary of the Tulsa race massacre, in which Black-owned businesses and homes were destroyed and estimated hundreds of Black U.S. Americans killed in the Greenwood District of Tulsa. Fear in the black community and shame in the White community caused this event to be covered up for many, many years, and the journey to uncover what happened and face it head-on offers an important example of what it means to own our collective history as a nation and faithfully seek reconciliation before God. From the perspective of our faith, our worship service this week will convey why this is important work as followers of Christ. You can watch the service on ZOOM webinars or watch our live stream on Fauntleroy Church’s YouTube channel. To get the Zoom link, see this week’s Highlights or contact the church office.

PRAYER REMINDER. During this Sunday’s worship, if you have joys or concerns you’d like lifted up, you can share those by emailing Pastor Leah (Leah@fauntleroyucc.org) or Pastor Karyn (karyn@fauntleroyucc.org) or by texting Bron or Karyn on Sunday morning. You can also add prayer requests to the “chat” in the ZOOM webinar during Sunday worship or submit a prayer on the church website: www.fauntleroyucc.org. Go to the menu to find “Prayer Requests.” A reminder that we also have a form on the church website where you can submit your prayer requests, indicating how you would like those shared. Just look for the “prayer request” tab at the top of our website: www.fauntleroyucc.org
