SUNDAY SCHOOL SERVICE PROJECT: This week in Sunday School, we are talking about the story of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet to teach them about compassionately serving others. But what good is it to talk about service and compassion in Sunday School if we don’t put our words into action? Our Sunday School leaders and kids have an easy way you can help us do this.
Camp Second Chance residents need towels for their shower trailer. Help us collect some new bath towels (not the heaviest kind because they take too long to dry) and twin fitted sheets (only the bottom sheet and not the flat) Aug. 1 thru Aug. 8. We’ll have a box or bin out by the sanctuary doors and at the Sunday School sign-in table at Fellowship Hall for your donations. Can you imagine how much comfort a clean towel and sheet could bring to someone who has mostly known discomfort?
P.S. Sunday School might get messy, so, kids, dress for outdoor fun!
