We believe that the occasion of a person’s
dying is also cause for celebration. In consultation with loved ones,
our pastors plan appropriate music, scripture readings, poems, and reflections
that aid in mourning someone who will be missed and remembering with gratitude
a life lived in a particular time and context. Set in the simple elegance
of our sanctuary, memorial celebrations are also an opportunity for those
gathered to let go, commending their parent, child, or friend to God’s
eternal care.
