Outreach
The members of Fauntleroy Church and the Outreach Ministry are deeply committed to serving our community. We believe in contributing our time, talent, and financial resources towards making the world a more safe, just, and peaceful place. Our outreach to the wider world is comprised of several Task Forces:
- Community Safety Net - The purpose of our Community Safety Net is to provide support and advocacy for issues relating to hunger and homelessness.
- Global Peace and Justice - Our Global Peace and Justice Task Force works to achieve a more equitable and peaceful world.
- Environment / Greening - Our Greening Committee seeks to educate our congregation on the relationship between the environment and Christian education, promote sustainable practices within the congregation, and advocate for environmental justice issues.
- Equality and Justice - As an open and affirming congregation, Fauntleroy Church is committed to fostering community among people of all races, cultures, and sexual orientations.
- Mission - Every year a few dozen members of Fauntleroy Church take a mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico to help build a church in the village of San Jose Contreras while developing a long term relationship with the people of that community.
