Welcome to Fauntleroy Church,
United Church of Christ. In this area of our web site you will find
sermons preached in our sanctuary, mostly on Sunday mornings (we worship
at 10 a.m.). Most often the preachers are David Kratz, Senior Pastor,
and Susan Towner-Larsen, Associate Pastor. But here and there you’ll
find some guests.
Preaching is an important part of our
worship service. Sermons explore God’s word, not only in the scripture
(including both the Hebrew Scripture and the Christian testament), but
for us here and now.
Our congregation likes to learn and
grow, and these sermons try to speak to that desire. The sermons are
usually based on The Revised Common Lectionary, a series of four lessons
that are given for particular Sundays of the year. They are set within a
context of worship that includes hymns and prayers and litanies that
relate us to God.
